Legal literacy

Ignorance of law is No Excuse

In today's materialistic age, it has become a very important that every citizen should be aware about his/her rights and duties as enshrined in the Constitution of India as well as the various acts and enactments. So keeping in view the importance of awareness, the district legal services authority, Mansa is organising seminars, legal literacy camps, workshops et cetera.

These are organized in urban as well as remote/rural areas with a view to impart legal knowledge to the woman, children, senior citizens, under trials, mentally ill persons, transgender, students et cetera.
In these awareness programs, every effort is made to impart knowledge about various laws and constitutional rights and duties, and for this purpose publicity material is also distributed among the public.

Apart from this the district legal services authority celebrates ways important during the whole year to highlight significance of the subject to which these particular days relate such as:

International women's Day 8 March
International Labor Day 1 May
Antitobacco Day 31 May
World Environment Day 5 June
