The 23 year old Delhi based girl who was gang raped in a moving private bus in Delhi (when she and a male friend were going home after catching a film) and was brutally assaulted by the rapists nearly a fortnight ago died at 4:45 AM local time (2:15 am Indian time) at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Saturday. The girl was admitted at the multi-organ specialty facility hospital on thursday in a very critical situation, the hospital said.
The Chief executive officer of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Kelvin Loh said: "We are very sad to report that the patient passed away peacefully at 4.45 AM on 29 Dec 2012 (Singapore time). The family of the girl and the officers of the High Commission of India were by her side at the time of her death.
The young paramedical student, who was in a critical condition earlier at Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi had told the SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate) about the entire incident", said a police official. It was also said that the statement of victim is now admissible in court.
People across the country in very hurt by this news. The mob at Delhi have started gathering on India Gate. Facebook and Twitter seems to have flooded with the messages and tweets about the girl.

ReplyDeleteStrict Rules of KSA (Islamic Rules) should be followed immediately in India. If found guilty in the terms of RAPE, the rapist must be half buried and stoned to death publicly. If found a person professional thief - his or her hands must be chopped off. If found guilty for murdering someone should be immediately beheaded.

He says, "The rape victim should have begged in front of rapists, and should have called them BHAIYA (brother), to save her life and modesty". Now i dont find words to express what i'm feeling with this statement. All in all, it's not a positive impression on public. ReplyDeleteThe legal system in India has absolute rules but more loopholes than its absoluteness. That is why countless innocent are suffering from the atrocities of society. It is not only men but women also involved which is more painful. I myself am a victim to the atrocities of my husband and in-laws. I thank god for saving me and my child otherwise we would also be RIPs by now. Its 3 years now am still fighting for justice ......absolute NOTHING!!!!!!! law is for the ones whose purse is fat. Shame that the women are no better treated than they were treated in/before 1947!!!! Still not sure what did Gandhi, Nehru and others fought for? This so called FREEDOM??? Mother INDIA you are still ________________??? no word is enough expressive to fill that BLANK.... The best thing is we keep blaming others but what have we done to change the way the things are??

There are n number of so call organisations but their efficiency.... I had contacted human rights commission , Women's commission .. but am no better than i was earlier. NO HELP at all....... but all they do is just discourage.. the reply is why do you want to get into all that mess.

India is always in a vicious cycle of problems. Now the rapist here are to be blamed 200% and why India has huge number of such vultures on every street, every public place..? May it be office situation, a street, a market place, there are many number of such vultures who try to get opportunities to rub their body parts with ladies from front or back or side. They molest women every now and then. Even in sales men selling sarees try to touch the female customers. The list is unending. What could be the root cause for this. This type of behaviour small or big needs harsher punishment. Now take example of the accused in Delhi gang rape, they must have molested many young women before and escaped without any punishment. Ram Sing's wife died 4 years back. Who knows how and why did she die. He would have seen his father beating his mother every day. No wonder he is a vulture....
