Advocates on indefinite Strike in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, While 12 Advocates Injured in Police LathiCharge, BCI calls for Nation wide Strike on 11-3-13

It all started when a case had been filed against 20 Punjab & Haryana High Court Lawyers, including former additional advocate general (AAG) of Punjab Rupinder Singh Khosla for allegedly manhandling a cop recently.

The Advocates community started a protest against the issue, inview of this filed case and during this onward march to the Punjab Raj Bhawan to submit a memorandum the police of  Chandigarh resorted Lathicharge on advocates in protest and used water cannons.

At least 12 lawyers have been reported to be injured in this clash with the police on Wednesday .
