As a result, it has become necessary to understand the role of these platforms in the development of the lives of young Afghans.
Digital Government
Technology's role in developing Afghan youth's lives is a critical issue. In Afghanistan, the largest proportion of the population is under 25. This makes them more vulnerable to armed groups.
Social media has played a critical role in changing the face of Afghan politics. It has been used to discuss political issues, such as modernity proponents and sectarianism.
Social media is also important in helping young people advocate for their causes. It can give them a digital haven. While it may be easy to dismiss social media, it has the potential to shape public discourse in ways that traditional communication methods cannot.

Access to Information Outside of Health Facilities
Access to reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) information outside health facilities is limited, particularly in low-literacy countries. In this study, we measured preferred RMNCH information channels and surveyed care-seeking behaviors. We also interviewed community stakeholders. By identifying a few key RMNCH information sources, we can be more proactive in responding to the needs of vulnerable populations.
Mobile Health and mHealth Innovations
Many innovative mHealth (mobile health) programs target populations in developing countries. They span many activities, including data collection, disease surveillance, disaster response, health promotion, and remote patient monitoring. Global telecommunications and corporate philanthropic organizations have largely initiated these applications. But they have yet to be scaled up in poorer regions.
The rapid growth of mHealth projects has generated considerable enthusiasm among governments, donors, and implementers of health programs. It has also highlighted major challenges facing government officials in low- and middle-income countries. For example, governments face competing priorities and system instability and need guidance about implementing mHealth solutions.
Mobile health and mHealth innovations could play a key role in developing the lives of Afghan youth. The country has 38 million people and an estimated 22 million mobile phone subscriptions.
Telecommunications Systems
The development of telecommunications systems has become a critical focus of economic development in Afghanistan. Increasing the availability of cell phone coverage has helped Afghans conduct business and improve security. Cell phones have also allowed Afghans to engage in sociopolitical discourse.
Since the end of the Taliban regime, Afghanistan has experienced significant progress in developing its telecommunications systems. The country has more than 90 television, radio, and Internet channels. And over the past two years, more than $145 million in foreign direct investment has been directed to the industry.
Telecommunications services are one of the largest employers in Afghanistan. It provides large sums of money to the government through taxes.
